Introduction to Observational Drawing with Marlowe Lowe

Description: Register through CCC at 607-936-5501 or online at https://www.corning-cc.edu/register-non-credit-course. Drawing is the most fundamental tool in any artistic practice. It is a way in which to express ideas and spark the imagination--a process of seeing, analyzing and depicting/translating forms and spaces, real or imagined, into a two-dimensional image. The goal of this course is to engage students in technical theory and skill building exercises that will challenge them to consider different concepts of what it means to “see” or perceive the world around you.
Location: Community Arts of Elmira, 413 Lake St., Elmira 14901
Type of Event: Adult
Cost: $68.00

In addition to being a writer, Destiny Kinal is a bioregionalist, lifelong political activist, and classically-trained community organizer. Destiny has lived in the Penn-York Valley for thirty-two years, founding two not for profits, Carantouan Greenway, the river and trails organization in the Valley and Project GROW teaching kids to grow food. Destiny got her MFA from Bennington College and began working on the Textile Trilogy immediately.
