Opening Reception on the 40th anniversary of the Flood
Friday, June 22, 2012
4:00 - 6:00 pm
Free and Open to the Public
Where were you in '72?
This group exhibit by 24 artists and poets--all of whom experienced The Flood 40 years ago--explores the legacy of Hurricane Agnes on Elmira, Corning and the Tioga/Chemung Valley. The images are not literal depictions of surging water and flood mud, but instead address the issues of loss, change and rebirth that affected the lives of so many people.
Featuring the Photography of Photojournalist Connie Frisbee Houde (Albany, NY)
