Artist Statement

I work almost entirely in drawings of ink, pencil or conte crayon, though some of my early pottery has survived and I also have created soft sculpture from antique cloth materials, oil and acrylic paintings, and etchings.

I hold an associate degree in fine art from Brookdale Community College in New Jersey, and was a scholarship winner as a high school student.

The works you see offered at Community Arts of Elmira are the first works I have publicly displayed in over thirty years. I didn't like the atmosphere of most galleries, so I didn't try to "join the club" until I found Community Arts. Come join us and celebrate your own creativity.
