Hi Everyone, I am Ann Cady, the owner and photographer of ARC Photographic Images based in Elmira, NY.
I began my career in photography at the NYS Senate Media Services Department right after college. For seven years I photograghed press conferences, debates, special events or basically anything that went on in the Capital, which was a lot.
After my marriage and subsequent move to Elmira, I began working for the Corning Glass Studio, photographing the work of students and teachers that attend the workshops held there in the summer and winter. It was through my experience at The Studio that I discovered how much I enjoyed photographing art pieces and working with artists. I began ARC Photographic Images so I could do just that. I hear over and over again from people who are frustrated trying to photograph their own work, how expensive it is to get their work professionally done or, even worse, that they have been rejected from a show not on the merits of their piece but because the photograph made it look like something it wasn't. My goal is to combine professional work with affordability so that all artists can have access to images that accurately represent their work. I offer a free initial consultation to help walk people through the process so they can see for themselves what I can do for them.
