Living in a rural area and loving being able to go on long walks through the countryside, then spotting unusual rocks and lugging them home may seem strange to a non-rock carver, but to me it's pure joy.
After adoption, the rocks gradually reveal themselves and I translate their hidden identity into a tangible critter (or footprint, or leaf) for us to enjoy.
After drawing on the stone, I hand carves each with a Dremel Tool, adding embellishment where desired. My inspiration is continual, as one leads to another, each one unique.
All of my work is recognizable as a delightful work of nature - that maybe we had forgotten about.
